Reliable Temperature Ratings.
The temperature ratings of the sleeping bags are based on tests that comply with the
temperature rating protocols of the European Standard (EN 13537-4.3.3 Manakin
Methodology). They are carried out by 3 independent testing laboratories resulting
in ratings you can really trust.
They are given as a guideline only as each sleeping bag user reacts differently in
the outdoors according to different factors: weather conditions, good insulation,
physiology of the user, clothing.
For an inexperienced consumer, Coleman suggests to follow the Comfort temperature only.
COMFORT - Lower temperature of comfort range
down to which a sleeping bag user with a relaxed posture posture such as lying on the back
is globally in thermal equilibrium and just not feeling cold. Related to standard woman and
in standard condition of use.
LIMIT - Lower limit at which a sleeping
bag user with a rolled-up body posture is globally in thermal equilibrium and just not
feeling cold. Related to standard man and in standard conditions of use.
EXTREME - Lower extreme temperature where
the risk of health damage by hypothermia occurs. Related to a standard woman and in
standard conditions of use.

INSULATION FROM INVISTA
The Coleman Exponent line of sleeping bags features high-performance
insulation fillings from Invista, a world leader in advanced fibre technology..
Thermolite Extreme - is a lightweight insulation
made of 3 fibres that provides more warmth than other fillings, even in the harshest weather
conditions. Warmer than a duvet, but as soft as silk.
Thermolite Micro - is ultra light and compact
for easy carrying. It's made with a patented blend of micro-denier fibres, finer even than
human hair.
Thermolite Quallo - Quallo has a high-loft
insulation, with hollow fibres, which gives up to 20% more warmth than solid-fibre fillings
and dries three times faster than down when wet.
Coletherm - This unique filling has been
selected exclusively by Coleman. Thanks to the structure of the hollow filaments more air
gets trapped improving loft and warmth performance of the sleeping bags. Machine washing
does not affect the performance of Coletherm insulation.
Loftlite - Loftlite fibre mix is composed of
extremely thin hollow filaments that allow Coleman to develop lightweight and compact,
yet performance bags.
Bonded Micro Fibre - Specifically designed for
the Coleman Exponent adventure sleeping bags, this filling has the property of trapping air
around the fibre. Thanks to its bonded filaments, it will ensure performant insulation and
therefore comfortable night's sleep in the outdoors.
Down - There is nothing more comfortable than
natural goose or duck feather filling. Sleeping bags made of down are lightweight and extremely warm.

Easy Sleep for Coleman Exponent Sleeping Bags
To sleep well, users need to feel safe and warm. That is why
Coleman engineers have developed the Easy Sleep System, a unique system which
incorporates features to offer maximum comfort to the user:
- Joinable: Sleeping bags of the same shape and size can be zipped together
- Double Layer insulation on the top, single on base: improves the warmth to weight ratio
- Zip Cover: over the zip prevents accidental openings
- ZipPlow: prevents zipper snags by plowing fabric away from zipper
- Autolock Zipper: makes the zipper move only if you want
- Thermolock Zipper baffle: a baffle of insulation runs down the length of the zip, preventing heat loss
